Yes, you can check the signal strength through the app. When the camera is added to Vicohome app, the signal strength will be displayed. To check it, click the settings icon on the right side of the camera on the Home Page.

  • Strong Signal: This position is good for installing the bird feeder.
  • Medium Signal: Check if the real-time video works smoothly.
  • Weak Signal: Do not install the camera in this position.

Wi-Fi coverage typically extends between 30-50 meters when using our Vicohome app. However, this range can vary depending on factors such as obstacles (walls) and the transmitting/receiving power capabilities of the Wi-Fi router.

If the screen is displaying upside down, you can adjust this setting through the camera settings menu in the Vicohome app. Navigate to:

  • Camera Setting > Video Settings > Rotate Image

  1. Press and hold the physical reboot button to initiate a reboot.
  2. Alternatively, use a pin or pointed object to press the reset hole.
  3. The camera will restart automatically, indicated by an indicator light and a startup sound.

To use the AI function for bird identification on the Vicohome app, you’ll need the Awareness Gen2 service plan. Follow these steps:

  • Tap “User” on the app.
  • Select “VicoAwareness.”
  • Choose “Awareness Gen 2.”
  • Tap “Subscribe now” to purchase the plan

 After subscribing to the Awareness plan, follow these steps to use the Bird AI function:

    • Receiving Bird Notifications:
      • Go to “Settings” on the app’s home page.
      • Tap “Notification Setting” and enable “Bird Fans.”
      • Enable “Notification” under “Bird Fans” to receive alerts when a bird is detected.
      • Note: Ensure “Person,” “Pet,” and “Vehicle” classifications are deselected.
  • Filtering Bird Videos:
    • Once “Bird Fans” is enabled, the AI will tag bird-related videos in the “Library.”
    • Tap the envelope icon on the home screen to access the library.
    • Use the “Filter” icon in the upper left corner and select “Bird” to view only bird videos.
  • Free Plan: 3-day cloud storage, motion recording up to 20 seconds, and motion alerts.
  • Premium Plan: 60-day storage, 3-minute motion recordings, smart notifications, person detection, bird identification (over 11,000 species), pet, vehicle, and package detection, plus zero delay.
  • For iOS users: Cancel in iTunes/Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before expiration: Settings > iTunes Store & App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > Account > Subscription.
  • For Android users: Cancel in Google Play Store settings: Mine > Subscription, then disable the VicoHome app subscription.
